Coleman Hawkins is an American basketball player at the college level. He played collegiate basketball for the Illinois Fighting Illini Men's basketball team at the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign. He attended high school at Antelope High School which was in his hometown before transferring to a high school in Napa named Prolific Prep. He started to play basketball while in high school and was rated a three-star recruit before entering the college basketball scene.

Hawkins committed to the Illinois Fighting Illini over programs offered to him by Rutgers, USC and Marquette. Hawkins received the starting role of power forward in his junior year of college basketball and performed well, averaging just under 10 points per game. Hawkins took his game to the next level during his senior year, winning innumerable accolades and setting multiple records.

Amongst these were being on the watchlist of the Karl Malone Power Forward of the Year award and All-Big Ten honours. Furthermore, Hawkins is the only player in the school’s history to record 900+ points, 500+ rebounds, 200+ assists, 100+ blocks and 100+ steals.
