DeAndre Jordan, who was born in Houston, Texas, United States on July 21, 1988, is an American center who plays in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Jordan's basketball journey began at Episcopal High School and he later moved to Christian Life Center Academy for the senior year of his prep career. He played one season of college basketball at Texas A&M University before declaring for the 2008 NBA draft.
Jordan, who is 6 feet 11 inches tall, was drafted as the 35th overall pick by the Los Angeles Clippers in the second round of the 2008 NBA draft. During his time with the Clippers, Jordan was named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team in 2015 and 2016. After leaving the Clippers in 2018, Jordan played for the Dallas Mavericks, New York Knicks, Brooklyn Nets, Los Angeles Lakers, and Philadelphia 76ers.
