DeAndre Jordan

DeAndre Jordan is an American basketball player who plays as a back-up center for the Denver Nuggets. In his prime, DeAndre Jordan, also known as “DJ,” was the best rebounder and defensive big man in the league.

Born on July 21, 1988, DeAndre Jordan's basketball journey started at Episcopal High School in Bellaire, Texas, and later at Christian Life Center Academy in Humble, Texas. He later played at Texas A&M Aggies for one season before declaring for the 2008 NBA Draft, where he was selected 35th overall by the Los Angeles Clippers.

The first two seasons with the Clippers were a learning curve for Jordan. However, in his third season, he emerged as the starting center, averaging 25.6 minutes per game. Alongside Blake Griffin and the newly acquired Chris Paul, Jordan was an integral part of the famous "Lob City Clippers.” The team became known for their rim-shattering poster dunks, dazzling passes and highlight-reel plays.

Between 2012 to 2018, DeAndre Jordan was undeniably one of the top three centers in the NBA. His consistency earned him accolades, including an NBA All-Star selection in 2017, an All-NBA First Team nod in 2016, and two All-NBA Third Team selections in 2015 and 2017. He also secured two NBA All-Defensive First Team honors in 2015 and 2016, and led the league in rebounding in 2014 and 2015.
