Fredderick Edmund VanVleet Sr., an American professional basketball player who plays for the Houston Rockets in the NBA as of April 2025. The guard from Wichita State University went undrafted in the 2016 NBA draft despite having a good college basketball career, causing him to sign with the Raptors. The 2024-25 season is VanVleet's second season with the Houston Rockets, and in his second season, along with Green and Sengun, he has led the team to its first playoff run in five seasons. In the 2024-25 season, VanVleet is averaging 14.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game.

Before joining the NBA, VanVleet went to Wichita State. In his freshman season, VanVleet averaged 4.3 points and 2.3 assists per game. His breakout season was his sophomore season, where he averaged 11.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 1.9 steals per game. VanVleet played for four seasons with Wichita State, and played 141 games where he averaged 10.2 points, 3.3 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game. From being a bench player to a full-fledged starter, VanVleet has a lot of experience with the Raptors. Not to mention that he won the 2019 NBA championship with the team.
