Game 4 NBA Finals

Last Modified Jun 13, 2023 03:44 GMT

The 2023 NBA Finals will be the championship series of the 2022-23 season and the conclusion to the season's playoffs.

Game 4 NBA Finals

Game 4 of the 2023 NBA finals will be played between the West champion, Denver Nuggets, and the East champion, Miami Heat.

Both the teams have not won an NBA title for a very long time, the last being in 2013 for Miami Heat while the Nuggets’ championship bucket is still vacant. Thus, whoever the winner, it will be a historic win for them.

So far, the Nuggets are leading the series by 2-1. The Nuggets’ duo, Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray showcased a magical performance in Game 3, winning the Game 109-94 in Kaseya Center, Miami. This was the first match for the Nuggets away from home.

“This was a big game for us, glad we won it because we lost the previous game in our Arena and lost our streak of winning at home,” Nikola Jokic said at the post-game presentation.

Game 3 Recap

The Nuggets outperformed the Heat by winning Game 3 109-94, hence leading the series 2-1.

The Nuggets duo made history on Wednesday night by both posting a triple-double in Game 3 of the NBA Finals. Nikola Jokic scored 32 points, 21 rebounds, and 10 assists while his counterpart, Jamal Murray had 34 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. Thus, they became the first teammates in NBA Finals history to score a triple-double.

Denver Nuggets coach Michael Malone said that the team is two wins away from their first franchise title, and this Game 3 performance is the most impressive one till now in their seven years together.

While from Miami's side, Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo are only the two individuals who were scoring. Plus, the mid-range shot conversion rate was also too low for the team. Caleb Martin only posted a 10 points gameplay and it was a quiet night for Gabe Vincent.

“We have to come up with more effort, and energy on Friday night. It will not be an easy task but we have to figure it out to win the title” Butler said in the post match presentation.

Game 4 NBA Finals Predictions

Game 4 will be played in the Miami Heat's home so the home advantage will be there for the team, but we can again expect an ethereal performance by the deadly duo, Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray.

Plus, the Nuggets’ team coordination, turnover converting into baskets, excellent shooting, assists, and offensive and defensive rebounds rate put them on the positive side compared to Miami Heat.

Miami Heat lost Game 3, their first home game, but Heat has been an underdog team this season, as they reached the NBA finals after being an 8th seed in the regular season. They are the comeback kings and have done it earlier as well, so it will not be strange if they do it again. Heat’s tight defense and on point mid-range shooting can level the series 2-2.
