Jalen Hood-Schifino is a professional American basketball player who plays for the Philadelphia 76ers of the NBA as of April 2025. He played college basketball for the Indiana Hoosiers men's basketball team, which represents Indiana University Bloomington in NCAA Division I college basketball. He appeared in 32 games as a freshman, averaging 13.5 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game. Due to his performance, Hood-Schifino was named Big Ten Freshman of the Year and was in the Big Ten All-Freshman Team in 2023.

Hood-Schifino declared for the 2023 NBA Draft even though he has only attended college for his freshman year. With the incredible 2022-2023 season behind him, Hood-Schifino has decided to forgo his remaining three years of college. He was drafted as the 17th overall pick in the first round of the 2023 NBA draft by the Los Angeles Lakers. After playing two seasons with the Lakers and winning the NBA Cup Championship in his rookie year, Hood-Schifino joined the Philadelphia 76ers on February 28, 2025. As of April 22, 2025, he has appeared in 36 games in his NBA career, averaging 3.9 points, 1.1 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.
