In the season Allen averaged career-high 16.5 points, 10.5 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game.

Before the NBA, he was a five-star athlete coming out of high school and played college ball at the University of Texas. In one season in college, Allen averaged 13.4 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game.
