Jarrett Allen is a professional basketball center who plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA as of March 2025. Born on April 21, 1998, in San Diego, California, Allen was selected 22nd overall in the 2017 NBA Draft by the Brooklyn Nets, where he spent four seasons. After being traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers, Allan became the first player to make 10 or more field goals in a game without missing any since the introduction of the shot clock in the 1954-1955 season. In the 2022/23 season, Allen helped the Cavs (51-31) advance to the playoffs for the first time in five seasons. In 68 regular season games, Allen averaged 14.3 points, 9.8 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.2 blocks per game. Also, in the season 2023-24, Allen averaged 16.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game, which led the Cavs to another playoff run, but the team lost to the Boston Celtics in the semifinals.

Before joining the NBA, Allen went to the University of Texas, where he played from 2016 to 2017. In a lone season at the University, Allen averaged 13.4 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game. Allen was rated as a five-star recruit and was ranked as the 15th player in the class of 2016.
