Jarrett Allen is a professional American basketball player who plays in the NBA as a center for the Cleveland Cavaliers as of March 2025. Allen was drafted as the 22nd overall pick in the first round by the Brooklyn Nets in the 2017 NBA draft and signed his contract with the Nets on July 20.

Allen played his debut NBA game on October 20, becoming the second youngest player in NBA history to play in an NBA game. In the 2020-21 NBA season, he played 12 games for the Nets before getting traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers on January 14, 2021. As of March 10, 2025, Allen has made 63 appearances in the 2024-25 NBA season, averaging 13.4 points and 10.3 rebounds per game.

Jarrett Allen High School

Jarrett Allen attended Round Rock High School in Round Rock, Texas. Allen transferred to St. Stephen's Episcopal School, which is located in Austin, Texas. Allen led his high school team to two Southwest Preparatory Conference titles in three years as per his USA basketball profile. He was also chosen to participate in the prestigious McDonald's All-American boys game in 2016. By the end of his high school career, he was rated a five-star prospect and ranked 15th overall player. Allen was also a member of the United States Under-18 team, which won the 2016 FIBA Under-18 AmeriCup in Chile.

Jarrett Allen College

Jarrett Allen attended the University of Texas in 2016 and played for the Texas Longhorns men's basketball team. As a freshman, Allen started in all 33 games, posting 442 points, grabbing 278 rebounds, and dishing out 27 assists for the team. Allen was named to the third-team All-Big 12 in 2017 because of his contributions to his team.
