The 6 feet 8 inches tall forward was born in California, USA to parents Stan Love and Karen Love. Initially, Kevin went to the Lake Oswego Lakers for his high school and led the school by becoming the all-time leading scorer with 2,628 points in Oregon’s basketball history.


After an impressive high school career, Kevin chooses the UCLA Bruins for his college basketball and due to this decision to join UCLA, Kevin faces a lot of condemnation as he does not play for his father’s alma mater, Oregon Ducks.


Kevin Love started his professional basketball journey with the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2008 and after playing six seasons with the Timberwolves he was traded to Cleveland Cavaliers and then to Miami Heat. Over his 15-year NBA career, Kevin has scored an average of 16.9 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 2.3 assists.


He was also a member of the USA basketball team and won gold medals in the 2010 FIBA championship and in the 2012 Summer Olympics. Additionally, he has been a five times NBA All-Star, and 2011 Most Improved Player, and held a championship ring in 2016 with the Cleveland Cavaliers.


After the 2022-23 offseason, Love became a free agent but Miami Heat re-signed him with a two-year contract extension worth $7.6 million.

His other often-used move is the backdoor cutter, which he uses when the defenders are defending him tightly so he quickly changes the lanes and scores an easy basket.
