Malik Beasley is a professional basketball player who plays for the Milwaukee Bucks in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Beasley is a shooting guard and is known for his catch-and-shoot skills.

Beasley attended St. Francis High School in Georgia where he was a standout basketball player. He averaged over 20 points per game during his junior and senior seasons. After high school, Beasley played college basketball for one season at Florida State University. As a freshman, he averaged 15.6 points and 5.3 rebounds per game on 47.5% shooting from the 3-point line.

Following his freshman season, Beasley declared for the 2016 NBA Draft. He was selected with the 19th overall pick by the Denver Nuggets. As a rookie in the 2016/2017 season, Beasley played in 22 games and averaged 3.8 points in 9.9 minutes per game. His career-high of 35 points came in January 2017 in a win over the Houston Rockets.

In his third NBA season, Beasley saw more playing time and increased his scoring average to 11.3 points per game. He shot an impressive 38.1% from 3-point range and helped the Nuggets earn a playoff berth. Over the next two seasons in Denver, his role and numbers continued to grow.

In November 2020, the Nuggets traded Beasley to the Minnesota Timberwolves as part of a multi-team deal. He played two seasons for Minnesota, serving as a key member of their rotation, averaging 15.1 points per game. In September 2022, Beasley was again traded, this time to the Utah Jazz in a deal involving star center Rudy Gobert.

Beasley only appeared in 55 games for Utah, averaging 13.4 points, before being dealt to the Los Angeles Lakers in February 2023. With the Lakers, he played 26 games and put up 8.5 points per contest. At season's end, Beasley entered free agency.

This past summer, Beasley signed a one-year contract with the Milwaukee Bucks. Through the first 15 games of the 2023/2024 season, Beasley has embraced his backup role and is contributing 10.8 points in 26.8 minutes per game.
