Russell Westbrook is an American point guard who plays in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the Denver Nuggets, as of May 2025. He attended Leuzinger High School and played college basketball for the UCLA Bruins, representing University of California, Los Angeles, between 2006 and 2008. Westbrook was selected as the fourth overall pick by the Seattle SuperSonics, now known as the Oklahoma City Thunder, in the 2008 NBA draft.

Westbrook has played for six different teams in the NBA, as of May 2025. After leaving the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2019, the 2017 NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP) joined the Houston Rockets. Westbrook moved to the Washington Wizards in 2020 before moving to the Los Angeles Lakers in 2023. After a stint with the Los Angeles Clippers, the one-time Olympic gold medallist and nine-time NBA All-Star joined the Denver Nuggets in 2024.
