During the 2022 NBA Draft, Wendell Moore Jr. was picked as the 26th overall choice by the Dallas Mavericks. Since then, he has played for the Minnesota Timberwolves and is presently a member of the Detroit Pistons as of 2024. On July 6, 2024, he was traded from the Timberwolves to Detroit in a team trade agreement; subsequently, Detroit opted to exercise his club option for the upcoming 2024-25 season. In addition to his domestic career, Moore has also represented the United States internationally; in 2017 he participated in Argentina at the FIBA Under-16 Americas Championship where his team secured a gold medal. Furthermore, in July 2018, he contributed to Team USA’s success at the FIBA Under-17 Basketball World Cup by winning another gold medal.
