As a sophomore at IMG, Walker averaged 19.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game while shooting 50% from the field. He showcased his versatility on the court, with his ability to score from inside and outside, as well as his strong defensive skills. IMG Academy is known for its exceptional sports programs and has produced many notable athletes in various sports. Jarace Walker attended Susquehannock High School in Pennsylvania, where he had a highly successful high school basketball career. As a freshman, he averaged 18.6 points and 10.3 rebounds per game, earning first-team All-County and Rookie of the Year honors.
During his sophomore season, Walker helped lead Susquehannock to a 23-4 record and a trip to the state quarterfinals. He averaged 22.1 points, 10.6 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game, and was named YAIAA Player of the Year, All-State First Team, and Pennsylvania Class 5A Player of the Year. In his junior season, Walker continued to impress, averaging 23.3 points, 11.3 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game.
