
Mikal Bridges, also known as "The Warden", is an American basketball player who plays for the New York Knicks in the National Basketball Association (NBA), as of May 2025. He was selected as the 10th overall in the first round of the 2018 NBA draft by the Philadelphia 76ers before being traded to the Phoenix Suns. Bridges, who has never missed a game in his NBA career, also played for the Brooklyn Nets before joining the Knicks.
Before turning professional, Bridges scored 1,340 points, 511 rebounds, 181 assists, 158 blocks, and 97 steals at Great Valley High School. He played college basketball for the Villanova Wildcats from 2015 to 2018 and helped the team win two NCAA championships in 2016 and 2018. He was also named to the All-Big East First Team in 2018 and received the Julius Erving Award before he announced himself for the 2018 NBA draft.
