Scheierman started his basketball journey at Aurora High School in Aurora, Nebraska. He played a multitude of different sports during his school career, including football, basketball, and golf, among others. In his junior year, He averaged 16 points and six assists in his junior year. In his senior year, he led his school team to the State tournament as he averaged 9.8 points and 6.5 rebounds that year.
