In the 2023 season, he earned preseason All-American recognition and was on the watch lists for prestigious awards like the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, Jim Thorpe Award, and Chuck Bednarik Award. Despite a quad injury, Morrison's performance earned him a semifinalist spot for the Jim Thorpe Award. During the 2023 season, Benjamin was awarded first-team All-Independent honors and recognized as Independent Cornerback of the Year. He is a two-time recipient of both accolades, having previously earned them in the 2022 season as well.
During the 2024 season, Morrison played six games, making 20 total tackles from with 11 being solo and assisting six tackles. He was named to the Associated Press Preseason All-American Second Team and the USA Today Preseason All-American Second Team.
