Bangalore, July 30 (IANS) It rained runs in the Safi Darashah All-India cricket tournament with as many as 10 players scoring a century on the second day of third round of league matches on Tuesday.

Samarth R (119, 196b, 15×4) and Kunal Kapoor (120, 193b, 14×4) were involved in a 202-run partnership (314b) for second wicket for KSCA President’s XI who were all out for 390 in reply to Tripura’s first innings tally of 194. The visitors were 35 for two in their second essay.

Orissa were in a commanding position against Saurashtra as centuries by Girija Rount (132 batting, 304b, 16×4, 1×6) and Biplab Samantray (116 batting, 205b, 14×4, 1×6) who had added 213 off 441 balls for the unbroken fourth wicket helped them to score 273 for three in 98 overs in their first innings replying to 266 all out.

Haryana, after dismissing KSCA Colts for 363 replied strongly by making 351 for three in 88 overs thanks to Sachin Rana (116 batting, 160b, 12×4, 3×6) and Rahul Dalal (105 batting, 155b, 15×4) and their unbroken fourth wicket partnership of 206 in 289 balls.

Sudip Chatterjee’s 136 (241b, 15×4) powered Bengal to 445 for eight against Kerala who responded spiritedly with 292 for 1 in 75 overs at stumps after Nikhilesh (119, 195b, 13×4,1×6) and Jagadeesh VA (146 batting, 224b, 18×4) put on 257 runs for the first wicket.

In Mysore, Karun Nair (101, 133b, 11×4, 3×6) helped KSCA Secretary’s XI reach 267 for six in 88.1 overs in reply to Assam’s first innings total of 314.
