Arsenal to battle Liverpool for Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele

Ousmane Dembele moved from Borussia Dortmund to Barcelona just last summer for a reportedly staggering fee of €105 million. However, since then, the 21-year-old has only made 38 appearances across all competitions, struggling to establish a place for himself in the starting 11.

Earlier this week, reports claimed that Premier League giants, Liverpool, were looking to sign Dembele, with Jurgen Klopp having previously worked with the Frenchman at Dortmund.

However, latest reports from The Daily Express now claim that Arsenal have also entered the fray and will battle Liverpool for Dembele.

The Gunners' new head of recruitment, Sven Mislintat, formerly worked at Dortmund and played a part in Dembele's move from Rennes to the Bundesliga side, and is believed to have recommended Arsenal to consider recruiting the winger, especially if he is made available on a loan deal.
