The Green Bay Packers running back Algiers Jameal Williams Dillon Jr. was drafted in the second round (62nd pick) in the 2020 NFL Draft. He was born on May 2, 1998, in Baltimore, Maryland. Dillon signs a four-year deal worth $5.3 million, with a signing bonus of $1.4 million with the Packers. Dillon failed to make any starts in his rookie year being a third string on the squad. He appeared in 11 games rushing 242 yards and scoring 2 touchdowns. Dillon found his feet in the 2021 season rushing for career high 803 yards. He appeared in all 17 games for the consecutive season in 2022 with a total of 770 rushing yards.

Dillon was timed 4.52 seconds for his 40-yard dash at the 2020 combine. Although he isn't one of the swiftest running backs on paper, he has exquisite acceleration skills. With his awareness and pace-changing abilities, he becomes a real threat to go against in tight situations. Having the average height of an NFL player, he has a unique build and a big-bodied back. Dillon can cause damage to teams with his balance and awareness.

He has exquisite upper body strength which helps him to run through arm tackles and pick-up yards after contact. Having a thick build, he can run quickly with good contact balance making him an overall running back. Football runs in Dillon’s family as his grandfather is the former captain of the 1972 team of the University of Notre Dame. He was also named as a College Football Hall of Fame member.

Dillon initially decided to attend the University of Michigan but eventually changed his commitment to Boston College. In his freshman year, Dillon had a record-breaking 1,589 yards on 300 carries with 14 touchdowns. 2019 would prove to be his most explosive college year as he had 1,685 rushing yards and one touchdown. He started his college career earning the Atlantic Coast Conference Rookie of the Year. In his 35 appearances in college football, he rushed for 4,382 yards scoring 40 total touchdowns.

Dillon grew up in Connecticut while attending the New London High School. After putting in impressive performances in his freshman year, he was accepted by a private boarding Lawrence Academy in Massachusetts. In his four years there, he had two consecutive thousand-plus rushing yards seasons. In his junior year, he rushed for 1,887 yards and 26 touchdowns.
