Jonathan James McCarthy, better known as J.J. McCarthy, played college football for the Michigan Wolverines, serving as the team's quarterback. He also became the fastest QB to reach 25 career wins in Michigan football’s history. Additionally, he led Michigan to an undefeated 15-0 record and their first championship since 1997.


McCarthy's collegiate career is marked by notable achievements and accolades. In 2023, he secured the CFP National Championship title and was named Big Ten Quarterback of the Year for his outstanding performance throughout the season. That same year, he earned a spot on the First-team All-Big Ten. Additionally, he was named to the Second-team All-Big Ten in 2022.
