Former wide receiver, Michael Gallup played professional American football for the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL. Gallup was the 81st pick in the third round of the 2018 NFL draft for the Cowboys. In Week 7 of his rookie season, Gallup caught his first NFL touchdown. He finished the season with two touchdowns and 33 receptions for 507 yards. In the 2019 season, Gallup missed Week 3-4 due to a knee injury but managed to finish the season with six touchdowns. In Week 1 of the 2021 season, Gallup suffered a calf injury and was placed on the injured reserve. In Week 17 of the same season, Gallup suffered a torn ACL placing him on the injured reserve again. The following season, Gallup signed a five-year contract extension with the Cowboys. After the 2023 season ended, he was released and he went on to sign a one-year contract with the Las Vegas Raiders. In July of 2024, he announced his retirement from professional football.

Gallup initially joined Butler Community College where as a freshman he recorded 11 touchdowns. The following season, Gallup played only three games as he had an ankle injury. In 2016, Gallup transferred to Colorado State University where as a senior he was a finalist for the Fred Biletnikoff Award. By the end of his college career, he had recorded 176 receptions for 2,690 yards and 21 touchdowns. At Monroe Area High School, along with football, Gallup played baseball, basketball, and ran track. In his junior season, he started as a quarterback but as a senior, he played as a wide receiver and a running back.
