Najee Jerome Harris is an American NFL running back for the Pittsburgh Steelers as of the 2024 NFL season. He was drafted by the Steelers in the 2021 NFL Draft with the 24th overall pick in the first round. Playing in all 17 regular season games during his rookie season, Harris recorded 1,200 rushing yards, seven touchdowns, and 74 receptions for 467 yards, earning a spot on the PFWA All-Rookie Team that year. Harris was also selected to the Pro Bowl in 2021. As of Week 15, 2024, he has rushed for 4,160 yards, scored 27 touchdowns, and recorded 174 receptions for 1,122 yards and 6 touchdowns (via Pro Football Reference).
Harris played college football for the Alabama Crimson Tide, representing the University of Alabama. During his time there, he earned two CFP national championships (2017 and 2020) and received the Doak Walker Award, unanimous All-American honors, and first-team All-SEC recognition in 2020. During high school, he played football at Antioch High School, where he finished his career with 7,948 rushing yards and 94 touchdowns. Upon graduation, he was a unanimous five-star recruit according to every major recruiting outlet.
