Nick Bolton is an American football linebacker for the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2024 NFL season. Born on March 10, 2000, in Frisco, Texas, Bolton was selected in the second round as the 58th overall pick by the Chiefs in the 2021 NFL Draft. In his rookie campaign, Bolton earned a spot in the PFWA All-Rookie Team in 2021. As of January 2025, the two-time Super Bowl winner has posted 458 total tackles, five sacks and four interceptions (via ESPN).

In 2021, Bolton led the team with 110 total tackles and was the fifth player in franchise history to most tackles in a rookie campaign. His 180 total tackles in the 2022 season set a single-season franchise record, according to Forbes. Before his professional journey, Bolton played collegiate football for the Missouri Tigers from 2018 to 2020. He also went to the Lone Star High School during his prep career.

Bolton attended the University of Missouri where he played three years on the Missouri Tigers football team from 2018 to 2020 (via Missouri Tigers website). As a freshman in 2018, he earned game time in 13 games and worked his way up from special teams to the defensive side of the ball. His best game as a freshman was against the then number one ranked Alabama Crimson Tide where he made 8 tackles, as per Missouri Tigers' official website.

In 2019, which was his sophomore season, Bolton had his best year of collegiate football, finishing as a member of the First-Team All-SEC for the first time. He had 107 tackles, and 2 interceptions to go along with a sack.

The 2021 PFWA All-Rookie Team member finished his collegiate career in 2020 playing in 10 games and registering 95 combined tackles and two sacks for his second successive selection to the First-Team All-SEC, as per Sports Reference. Following his junior year, Bolton entered the NFL draft to begin his professional career.

Nick Bolton played for the Lone Star High School football team in his hometown of Frisco, Texas, as per Missouri Tigers website. He had two amazing years in high school when as a junior he had 111 tackles and an interception while as a senior he recorded 130 tackles and 5 interceptions. Bolton also led Lone Star to an appearance in the regional final during his senior year, as per Missouri Tigers' official website. He was rated a three-star prospect by both 247Sports and ESPN.
