5 Superstars Brock Lesnar could drop the Universal Championship against

Returning to the status quo of the past three years, Brock Lesnar is once again the WWE Universal Champion.

The Beast successfully cashed in his Money in The Bank contract on Seth Rollins at WWE Extreme Rules and is once again the top dog in WWE.

At this point, Lesnar has pretty much run through everyone in WWE, whether it be those on the road every day like Roman Reigns and AJ Styles, or those who only pop up now and again, like Goldberg and The Undertaker.

Despite this, WWE still has a very talented roster of legit Superstars who could all very believably defeat Lesnar to become Champion.

Even though Lesnar has defeated almost all of these Superstars before, they could all topple him in very convincing fashion and make you believe they can be a strong WWE Universal Champion.

Here are the top five best superstars who Brock Lesnar could convincingly lose the Universal Championship to.

#5 Seth Rollins

Now this one seems the most obvious. Seth Rollins is the most blatant choice to slay the Beast so much so, that I have decided to start the list off with The Architect, rather than keep him for No.1.

As of this writing, the former Universal Champion Rollins is set to clash with Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship this Sunday at SummerSlam. The build-up to the match has seen Lesnar decimate Rollins every time they have been in the same ring, which wrestling logic insists that Rollins may be walking out of Toronto as Champion once again.

However, with WWE's seeming obsession with having Lesnar as Champion and having only won it, to begin with a month ago, there are strong signs that point to The Beast Incarnate is retaining the title.

Being the solid Universal Champion that he was, Rollins is still a great candidate to take the title from Lesnar, be it at SummerSlam or another rematch down the line. He has defeated The Beast before, so could very well do so again.

#4 Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe has had a surprising amount of Championship matches on PPVs over the last two years.

While Joe has fallen to Kofi Kingston, AJ Styles and even Brock Lesnar himself, The Samoan Submission Machine has never been weak in defeat.

Joe is such a wrecking machine that he could easily bounce back from a big defeat and still pummel that same opponent who he lost to, in believable fashion.

What Samoa Joe has over many of the other members of the WWE roster is he is a legitimate powerhouse.

Joe could easily take up a winning streak at any time and would be very believable as being almost unstoppable.

All of this is what makes Joe a strong candidate to take the Universal Championship from Lesnar and have a lengthy reign.

#3 AJ Styles

AJ Styles has proven time and time again that he is one of the best wrestlers in the world today, and has been for many years.

The Phenomenal One lost his second WWE Championship on SmackDown last November, after a year-long reign.

Styles has had an incredible run in WWE thus far, being a two-time WWE Champion. He has defeated almost everyone he has stepped in the ring with, including multiple victories over John Cena.

Styles made the move to RAW back in April and after a few months between injuries and Universal Championship pursuits over Seth Rollins, Styles would turn heel in July.

Unlike Styles first heel turn, where he was cheered louder than most babyfaces, this one might actually work.

Part of this is due to the reunion of Styles with Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson as The OC. WWE has a great opportunity to have the faction be the focal point of RAW. It has been a long time since a faction led angle has been the high point of the show but this formula has proven very successful in the past.

I believe they could have this again with The Club and what better way to but them over than to have AJ Styles challenge and defeat Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship.

Styles has stepped into the ring with 'The Beast' before, but was defeated. Despite the loss, Styles looked strong in defeat as he carried Lesnar to the best one-on-one match he had in years.

And because of this, I believe Styles could very convincingly unseat Lesnar as Champion and push The OC to new heights.

#2 Braun Strowman

It seems like WWE has their finger on the trigger with Braun Strowman, but keep resisting. Braun Strowman's push has been full of starts and stops.

But despite not being a constant force in the main event scene, he would still be ultra-convincing to topple 'The Beast'.

While it seemed for a while that WWE had big plans for Strowman as one of the potential future faces of the company, his monster push has still come to be organic.

This has led to acceptance from the fans as someone they are willing to get behind as a dominant force, and future heavyweight Champion.

As organic as it has been, many of Strowman's losses have been well protected to, often being countouts and disqualifications.

While one of his few pinfall losses has been to Lesnar himself in a Championship match, Strowman still came out looking strong in defeat.

Strowman is one of very few who could even challenge Lesnar to a Championship match and defeat him for it, with no build to the match itself. WWE just needs to pull the trigger.

#1 Bobby Lashley

I am really surprised this man is not mentioned by many fans as someone who could very easily defeat Brock Lesnar.

Bobby Lashley is the perfect candidate to defeat Brock Lesnar for the WWE Universal Championship as he is possibly the toughest superstar on the entire roster.

Lashley dominated Impact Wrestling for four years, where he was a four-time Impact World Heavyweight Champion, with at one point during one of those reigns, also simultaneously holding the Impact X-Division Championship and being the final King of The Mountain Champion.

While his booking in WWE since his return hasn't bean ideal, he is still a former two-time WWE ECW Champion, two-time Intercontinental Champion and the United States Champion.

What's most impressive about Lashley and what makes him the most legit on the roster is his MMA record, which, in truth, is far more impressive than Brock Lesnar's. As of his last fight to date in October 2016 (he still has a contract with Bellator), Lashley's MMA record is 15-2.

Not only is his win/loss record incredible, but the fact that many of his wins have been pretty dominant makes him all the more of one of WWE's toughest ever.

Whether fans would admit it or not, Lesnar vs. Lashley is a dream match and one that could easily see Lashly down Lesnar in very convincing fashion.
