WWE Money in the Bank: 3 things that could happen if Ricochet wins the men's ladder match

He is The One and Only
He is The One and Only

WWE Money in the Bank is all set to take place next Sunday. However, the buzz for this year's show is relatively lower as compared to previous editions. There are some important reasons behind the decrease in the buzz.

One is the wrong placement of this pay-per-view. WWE has always scheduled the Money in the Bank pay-per-view in the month of June, which allows the company two months to concentrate on the build-up. This year's event seems a bit rushed as the competitors were revealed without qualifying matches, also the fans are still confused about the brand status of multiple superstars.

A similar thing had happened with the Backlash pay-per-view of 2018, where the pay-per-view failed to such an extent that WWE decided to cancel it straight away. While the Money in the Bank show will not be canceled following an underwhelming event, WWE should make sure they stun the audience with the match results.

A lot of members of the WWE Universe are expecting Drew McIntyre to emerge as the Mr. Money in the Bank of 2019, but WWE could surprise the fans by crowning Ricochet as the unexpected Money in the Bank winner of the year.

Here are the 3 things that could happen if Ricochet wins the Money in the Bank contract.

#3 RAW's viewership rises instantly

Nobody expects this guy to win
Nobody expects this guy to win

The fans even expect Roman Reigns to enter the ladder match to win the contract, rather than Ricochet being the winner of Money in the Bank 2019. Even the betting odds rank Ricochet at the lowest. Thus, if the former NXT North American champion wins the match, he will certainly break the internet.

#Ricochet would be #1 trend worldwide, and the viewership of next night's RAW episode will skyrocket (at least for the first hour). Wherever Ricochet would go, the NXT chants will echo through the arenas and The One and Only could become the next top babyface of the company.

#2 Multiple contract defenses

Ricochet will be a fighting Mr. Money in the Bank

Even if I back Ricochet to win the Money in the Bank match, I do not expect him to cash in his contract within a few weeks. WWE could book him to hold the briefcase for a long time and can even force him to put his contract on the line multiple times.

We have witnessed many times how Money in the Bank holders contest in pay-per-view matches where the contract is on the line.

Thus, WWE can build up Ricochet as a star by having him defend his briefcase week in and week out. We all know that Ricochet can deliver classics on a weekly basis, hence the fans will be treated to fantastic in-ring competition instead of snoozefests on every RAW episode.

It will be Vince McMahon's call to decide the result of those matches, but Ricochet will be the real winner of these pay-per-view bouts. Imagine a match between a heel AJ Styles and Ricochet at SummerSlam or an Extreme Rules match between Sami Zayn and Ricochet, or even a match between a wildcard Ricochet and Andrade on a random SmackDown episode. Money in the Bank contract's value will reach the next level with these matches.

#1 Ricochet wins the WWE Championship in 2020

Finally!
Finally!

Ricochet winning the Universal Championship is something which is unimaginable but WWE cannot have a third consecutive failed Money in the Bank cash-in on the men's side. They messed up Baron Corbin and Braun Strowman's tenure as Mr. Money in the Bank, but the same should not happen with Ricochet.

The creative team can book him to win the WWE Championship instead. I mean even the current WWE Champion, Kofi Kingston, is a fan of the One and Only.

However, it should be in the year 2020 before Ricochet wins the most prestigious title in WWE history. The best possible scenario would be Ricochet walking down the ramp with the briefcase on the SmackDown Live after WrestleMania 36, and finally exercising his right.

After a successful cash-in, the era of King Ricochet would finally commence in WWE!
