Roman Reigns in-action at WWE Clash of Champions
WWE has announced that Roman Reigns will go one-on-one with Rowan at the Clash of Champions PPV taking place later this month.
The storyline leading up to the match between The Big Dog and the former Wyatt Family member has been somewhat confusing, and it all began with scaffolding mysteriously collapsing on Reigns prior to SummerSlam last month.
Following a subsequent string of incidents in which it became clear someone in WWE was targeting Roman Reigns, names such as Buddy Murphy and Samoa Joe were cleared of any wrongdoing.
Signs pointed to Daniel Bryan being the culprit of the Reigns attacks, however, Bryan has continued to profess his innocence, despite footage being shown of what appears to be a hidden Rowan perpetrating the initial attack on Reigns.
Bryan and Rowan later captured an unknown man who bears a striking resemblance to Rowan and claimed he was the man responsible for attacking Reigns, but that has yet to be "proven" on WWE TV.
Rowan snaps on WWE SmackDown Live
This week on WWE SmackDown Live, the storyline furthered when Daniel Bryan demanded an apology from Roman Reigns for linking Bryan to the mysterious attacks, however, Rowan hit the ring and destroyed not only Roman Reigns, but also his partner Daniel Bryan.
At one point, Rowan put Daniel Bryan through the announce table on the outside of the ring, seemingly ending the partnership between Bryan and the former Bludgeon Brother.
The Roman Reigns vs Rowan match joins the following matches previously announced for WWE Clash of Champions taking place on September 15th.
