What’s the story?
According to Cageside Seats, Roman Reigns could be set to return to WWE Raw tonight. Reigns has been off WWE television since Braun Strowman destroyed him on Raw a couple of weeks ago.
In case you didn’t know...
Roman Reigns was in a backstage interview on Raw a couple of weeks ago when Braun Strowman attacked him and utterly destroyed him. Roman took a beating across the backstage area, including getting thrown off a raised platform while strapped to a stretcher. Strowman later overturned the ambulance that was set to carry Roman out of the arena.
Reigns has since been off television although he has performed at Live Events. However, the recent death of Roman’s brother Rosey means that Roman will be off the Live Event scene for a little while although he looks set for a television return.
The heart of the matter
According to rumours, Reigns could return to Raw television as soon as tonight to continue his feud with Braun Strowman. The two are set to meet at Payback, and with the WWE Universal Championship not being defended, this match could very well be the main-event.

The match was booked on Raw last week, and with this week’s show being the go-home-show for WWE Payback, we could very well see the ‘Big Dog’ return.
What’s next?
Roman Reigns will face Braun Strowman at WWE Payback. Although no stipulation has been added to the match yet, there have been rumours that the match could be a ‘Stretcher Match’ to keep Roman Reigns looking strong in defeat. There have been rumours that this match will be used to build Strowman up as a challenge to Brock Lesnar.

With Roman Reigns being booked for the Payback card, I think it’s pretty likely that Roman will show up on Raw later tonight to build up his match with Braun Strowman. With the feud being this heated, let’s hope that WWE builds it up well and possibly adds a stipulation.
