With the 2024 French Open around the corner, Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic have again emerged as the bookies' favorites to capture the crown. Jannik Sinner, Alexander Zverev and Stefanos Tsitsipas round off the top five.

Alcaraz has grabbed most of the headlines heading into Paris despite being sidelined with a right forearm injury for the better part of this year's claycourt swing. He has favorable odds at +200 as per BetMGM, meaning a $100 wager on him will fetch $200 if he is to win the tournament.

The Spaniard holds a 5-3 match record on the red dirt this season, with his best result coming at the Argentina Open where he lost in the last four to Nicolas Jarry. He reached the quarters in Madrid, losing to Andrey Rublev in three sets. The reigning Wimbledon champion pulled out of the Masters events in Monte Carlo and Rome.

Alcaraz was a semifinalist at last year's Roland Garros, losing to eventual champion Djokovic in four sets.

Djokovic's odds of winning in Paris, meanwhile, are at +300. Despite walking in as the top seed and defending champion, the World No. 1 has been a shadow of himself this season. He is yet to win a title and currently holds a 12-5 match record.

Djokovic suffered a shock straight-sets defeat at the hand of Alejandro Tabilo at the Italian Open a couple of weeks ago. He is currently due to take part in the Geneva Open for the first time in his career.

Defending Australian Open champion Jannik Sinner ranks third among the favorites to win the tournament with +400 odds. He is currently 28-2 for the season with three titles already in his bag. He has, however, not featured as much as he would have liked on the clay so far this season due to a hip injury.

Alexander Zverev, who won the Italian Open, heads into Paris with +600 odds of winning the event, while Monte-Carlo Masters champion Stefanos Tsitsipas holds +750 odds. The pair has been in great form of late after disappointing starts to the year.

Rafael Nadal 6th favorite to win French Open

Rafael Nadal heads into this year's Roland Garros with +900 odds to win his 15th title in the French capital.

Usually, an outright favorite to win the event he's already claimed 14 times, Nadal heads into this edition marred by injuries and at the fag end of his career. He has scarcely featured this season, having played just five tournaments so far with a 7-4 match record.

He most recently took part in the Italian Open but was beaten comprehensively in the second round by seventh seed Hubert Hurkacz.

This could very well be the last time he takes part in the French Open, with him widely expected to announce his retirement at the end of the season.

Casper Ruud, Holger Rune, Daniil Medvedev, and Andrey Rublev round up the top-10 spots with +1000, +1400, +1600, and +2800 odds, respectively, to win the event.
