However, recent reports suggest that the Spaniard is set to compete in Paris in what could be his final appearance at Roland Garros. The 22-time Grand Slam champion is expected to prepare for the French Open during the next couple of weeks.

Novak Djokovic aiming for his first trophy in 2024 at the Geneva Open

Novak Djokovic has been struggling in 2024. The Serbian has suffered a loss of form and has been inconsistent throughout the season. His recent defeat against Alejandro Tabilo at the Italian Open has kept the Serbian trophyless so far.

With his French Open preparations far from ideal, the 36-year-old has accepted a wildcard to compete at the Geneva Open. The ATP 250 tournament will be played just a week before the start of the French Open.

Djokovic admitted after his Italian Open exit that he is struggling to find 'rhythm' in this match. The Serbian was on court for just 67 minutes during his defeat against Tabilo in Rome.

"The way I felt on the court today was just completely like a different player entered into my shoes. Just no rhythm, no tempo, no balance whatsoever on any shot. It's a bit concerning," Novak Djokovic said.

Now, with four games potentially to be played at the Geneva Open, Djokovic will hope to return to his best form before the French Open. Despite being an ATP 250 event, the Geneva Open has attracted some big names in the draw.

Novak Djokovic is set to rekindle his rivalry with Andy Murray in the second round, while a potential match against Denis Shapovalov could happen next. Casper Ruud or Ben Shelton will be the potential finalists for the Serbian if he manages to make it to the final in Geneva.
