I say Honduras win the cup....Err No

Pele may have been one of the greatest players in the history of the game, having been part of three victorious World Cup teams in 1958, 1962 and 1970, but, since retiring, he has become less respected as a pundit off-the-pitch.

I say Honduras win the cup….Err No

Greatest football legend Pele is back again with his predictions. He is known to make predictions which rarely come true.

This year he has selected Wayne Rooney as a man to lead England to World Cup glory. According to Pele Wayne Rooney holds his place among Lionel Messi and Christiano Ronaldo.

He also said that an African nation will reach the finals of the World Cup.

World Cup winner Pele says that with Fabio Capello in charge and Rooney leading the attack then England are genuine contenders in South Africa. Along with England Pele has picked out Brazil and Spain to win the World Cup but he is reluctant to pick his favorite for this year’s World Cup.

The Brazilian is infamous for his numerous wrong predictions over the years. Romario once declared that “Pele is a poet when he keeps his mouth shut”, while coach Luiz Felipe Scolari delivered the legendary line, “I believe Pele knows nothing about football. His analysis always turns out to be wrong. If you want to win a title, you have to listen to Pele and then do the opposite.”

Pele had predicted that Brazil will not go past the group stages during the 2002 World Cup but the went on to win the World Cup. During same event he had said that China will go into next round but they did not even score a goal and their goal difference was -9.

England has been put up with Brazil and Spain to win the World Cup this time. Who will win the Cup this time?
