Ronaldo could leave Real: Roman Calderon, former Real Madrid president

Bournemouth v Real Madrid - Pre Season Friendly

As the Gareth Bale transfer saga continues to play on, the future of superstar Cristiano Ronaldo remains uncertain. Certain reports even claim that Madrid are desperate to sign Bale as Ronaldo‘s departure is imminent.

And now, former Real Madrid president Roman Calderon has added fuel to the fire by stating that the Portuguese star is less than happy with the situation at the club.

“I know that he is not happy at all with the attitude and behaviour of the president,” Calderon told talkSPORT.

“He is asking for €20million net every season which is going to be difficult for Real to accept.”

“I think the president has all his eggs on the table just in case he can’t get the renewal of Cristiano. That is my impression.

“He’s afraid at some moment that Cristiano will say, ‘I am not going to go on’. That will be bad news for Madrid.

“I would like to see him retire at Real but now the situation is difficult. Let’s see in the next weeks or months if it can be sorted out and he can stay.”

With the latest reports stating that Bale himself wants to move to Madrid, there may be some truth to these statements after all.
