"It's a hamstring" - Geelong coach Chris Scott provides Patrick Dangerfield injury update after Carlton Blues win

Geelong coach Chris Scott shared an update on Patrick Dangerfield's injury after their Saturday, April 27 match. Geelong faced the Carlton Blues and secured a victory with a score of 118-105.

Chris Scott addressed Dangerfield's injury following the match, mentioning that the AFL star grappled with a hamstring issue. However, he refrained from providing more details, stating that the club would provide more information "as the week goes on."

Despite struggling with an injury this season, Dangerfield participated in the game. He began well, contributing one goal, 16 disposals two assists, helping his team in taking an early lead. However, he struggled as the match progressed, leading him to leave the field during the third quarter as Tom Atkins replaced him.

Speaking about Patrick Dangerfield's injury, Scott said (via Fox Sports):

“I just know it is a hamstring. I could speculate, but I don’t think that helps. The club will give a little bit more detail as the week goes on, but I am not sure at the moment."

Geelong displayed an impressive performance in their match against the Carlton Blues. They started off well and maintained the lead throughout the four quarters before ultimately securing an incredible victory with a score of 118-105.


Update on Geelong Cats' next match

Geelong Cats are next scheduled to play against Melbourne on Saturday, May 4, with the match starting at 19:30 AEST. Following that, in Round 9, Geelong will take on Port Adelaide on Friday, May 10, at 19:10 AEST. Meanwhile, Carlton will next play against Collingwood on May 3.

The season kicked off for Geelong with a match against St. Kilda, which they won with a score of 76-68 on March 16. In Round 2, they secured another victory against Adelaide, triumphing 96-77. Their winning streak continued into Round 3, where they defeated Hawthorn by 106-70.

Geelong maintained their dominance in the next round as well. They faced the Western Bulldogs on April 6 and emerged victorious with a score of 95-91.

In Round 5, they encountered North Melbourne and secured a win with a score of 139-64, followed by another victory against Brisbane with a score of 63-37.
