Two-time Olympic gold medalist Athing Mu dazzles at Ted Premiere

American middle-distance runner Athing Mu made per presence at the premiere of the comedy television series Ted.

Mu, who holds the distinction of being the youngest woman in history to hold the Olympic and World Championships titles, graced the premiere, wearing a radiant white pantsuit. Mu paired it up with sparkling earning and stylish stilettos. She was seen carrying a white chic purse.

The prequel series officially premiered on January 11. The new series, starring Seth MacFarlane and Max Burkholder, can be streamed on Peacock. The series will feature seven episodes and will serve as the third segment for the Ted Franchise.

Mu qualified for the 2020 Olympic Games by finishing first in the 800m event, clocking 1:56.07 at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Eugene, Oregon. The winning time became the world lead and the second fastest time in American history.

The 21-year-old has won two Olympic gold medals so far in her career. She secured a gold medal in the women's 800m in Tokyo after defeating behind Keely Hodgkinson and fellow American Raevyn Rogers. She improved her time from the qualifying trials to complete the race in 1:55.21 seconds.

She also contributed to the victory of the American squad, including Dalilah Muhammad, Allyson Felix, and Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, by running the last leg in the women's 4x400m relay event.

The U.S. squad defeated the Polish and Jamaican teams to secure the top position on the podium after recording an impressive time of 3:16.85 seconds.

Athing Mu clinched her first world championship title at the 2022 World Athletics Championships held on the home track in Eugene, Oregon. She topped the 800m event by leaving behind Keely Hodgkinson and Mary Moraa after clocking 1:56.30 to set a world lead.

Achieving success at such a young age meant Mu had to make significant changes to her life. During an interview with the Pivot Podcast, she reflected on the transformation saying:

"The last two years have taught me what I need to be successful and grown me as a person."

The defending champion secured a bronze medal in the women's 800m at the 2023 World Athletics Championships held in Hungary, Budapest. She finished behind the two athletes - Hodgkinson and Moraa after clocking 1:56.61.
