After Saina Nehwal had opened the account for India earlier in the day, P.V. Sindhu made it two-out-of-two in the Women’s Singles after beating Maria Febe Kusumastuti of Indonesia in the opening round 21-13 21-11 in the opening round on Wednesday.
The opening game saw Sindhu started on a slightly tricky note but from the 4-4 mark, she started to take charge of proceedings, not allowing her opponent any chance to claw into the match and won the game 21-13.
