Dubai World Superseries Finals 2017: Group stage draw announced, challenging tasks for Srikanth Kidambi and PV Sindhu

The final group stage draw of the BWF Dubai World Superseries Finals 2017 were announced earlier on Monday and fans are sure to be treated to some high-quality badminton at the season-ending championships, which kick off on Wednesday.

The tournament will feature the top eight shuttlers/pairs over the past season compete across five different categories, with players from as many as 11 nations taking part this time around. The eight contestants in each category will be divided into two groups of four, with the top two shuttlers from both progressing to the semifinals.

For India, there will be two star shuttlers in the fray in the form of PV Sindhu in the women's singles and Srikanth Kidambi in the men's singles. Both have had incredible seasons this year, with Sindhu winning two Superseries titles in Korea and India, while Srikanth won a whopping four -- more than any other shuttler this year.
