Ace Indian badminton star Saina Nehwal says her confidence is back and she is looking forward to doing well at the London Olympics.

Talking to reporters here Wednesday, the world No.4 said 2012 would be a big year and she was confident of performing well in upcoming tournaments, including Korea Open and Malaysia Open.

Saina, who lost to world No.1 Wang Yihan in the World Super Series final in China recently, said she needs to do consistently well in the big events.

With as many as 10 tournaments to be played till April, the badminton star feels that there would be pressure to do well to have a good ranking in the Olympics. “I have to win the big tournaments to get the confidence,” she said.

“I can’t do that because it is important to get good ranking and a good draw in the Olympics,” she said when asked if she could skip some of these tournaments to remain fit for the Olympics.

She, however, pointed out that she will have two to three months to practice and overcome weak areas before the biggest challenge.

Saina said she was satisfied with her performance this year. “I suffered ankle injury in the beginning of this year and I was disappointed with that. Overall, I am satisfied with the way I fared.”

She lost in three finals with her only win coming in the Swiss Open Grand Prix.
