Sindhu stuns world no 11 to reach finals, Jayaram loses in the quarters

Someone has correctly said that P.V. Sindhu may be the next Saina Nehwal or may be more than that. This young girl has got everything from height to power, from strength to stamina and from endurance to flexibility. She might be in the top 10 very soon.

In the Yonex Dutch Open P.V. Sindhu stunned 1st seeded and world no 11 Porntip Buranaprasertsuk of Thailand in the semis and will now face 2nd seeded and world no 19 Yao Jie of Netherlands in the finals on Sunday. Sindhu defeated the thai player by 21-14, 15-21, 21-13. Before this she had already defeated world no 22 in 1st round and world no 45 in the quarterfinals. It seems that Sindhu is almost unstoppable in this tournament her coach Pullela Gopichand was very happy with this win of Sindhu.

It was also a bit of dissapontment for the Indian contingent at the tournament as 2nd seeded Ajay Jayaram lost to the 5th seeded Eric Pang of Netherlands in the quarters by points 21-11,22-24,24-22.Jayaram will now play in the Denmark Open which will start from 18th of this month.

Also in the Mens doubles Pranav chopra and Akshay Dewalkar lost to the 4th seeded dutch duo of Rudd Bosch and Koen Rider by 21-19,21-16.In womens doubles also the Indian pair of Pradnya Gadre and Prajkta Sawant lost to top seeded thai pair of duanganong and kunchala by 21-18 and 21-7.
