Shohei Ohtani and the Los Angeles Dodgers squad are coming off an impressive victory against the Toronto Blue Jays. The boys in blue rocked the Blue Jays at Rogers Center as their offense opened up, scoring a dozen runs. Defensively, the Blue Jays were restricted to just two runs.

Ohtani went deep with a home run and Max Muncy fired a three-run shot. Will Smith and Danny Jansen were the other notable players, who went deep for the team.

Despite their incredible performance, the attention shifted to Ohtani as he walked down to the plate. The Blue Jays fans booed the Dodgers star for his appearance at Rogers Center. The reason dates back to Ohtani's free agency, where fans believed to have a great chance of signing the two-way star in Toronto.

With that out of the way, his welcome at Rogers Center was not warm. Reacting to the situation, Shohei Ohtani said:

“Not surprised, I really do feel that the fans here are passionate, and when they are, that’s the kind of reception that they will probably do," Shohei Ohtani said. "So I’m just very grateful and respectful that the fans here are passionate, just as much as the Dodger fans are with us."

Right after Shohei Ohtani was booed after walking down to the plate, he let a couple of balls slide and smashed the third pitch to right field with a home run. It was his seventh home run in Dodger blue.

Ohtani put the Dodgers on the board in the first inning giving his team the lead. The 29-year-old also tied Dave Roberts' record for hitting the most home runs for the franchise as a Japanese-born player.

Ohtani continues to reach milestones with his incredible performance and has been the bright spot for the Dodgers. Despite a slow start, Ohtani is leading the Dodgers with a 1.1 OPS and a slugging percentage of .681.
