Kyle Kuzma mocked the LA Lakers through his latest comment on Dennis Schroder's Instagram post. Schroder uploaded a picture announcing his comeback to action after he missed the first few weeks of the regular season due to a thumb injury.

"Today is my first Game of the season... Excited let’s gooo"

The Lakers have started the season with a losing record and are 4-10 thus far. Kuzma mocked the Lakers by commenting this on Schroder's post:

"Save the season"

The LA Lakers have been one of the most disappointing teams since last season. They went all out to capitalize in the hopes of securing another championship by trading for Russell Westbrook. However, the Lakers finished the 2021-22 season with a 33-49 record and missed the playoffs.

Kuzma was among the players the Lakers parted ways with in the blockbuster trade for Westbrook. He was crucial in their 2020 championship run. Kuzma hasn't had anything negative to say about his former team, but after his dig at the franchise through Schroder's post, it can be assumed that he might hold a little grudge against them after his trade last year.

Dennis Schroder's return could provide LA Lakers with a decent boost

The LA Lakers have more or less faced similar issues they did last season. They continue to be reliant on their superstars to help them secure wins. Not many role players have been able to make an impact on the team. Injuries have also been a factor to an extent.

Dennis Schroder, one of the Lakers' most underrated pickups, has also missed the first 13 games. LA had a stacked backcourt featuring Russell Westbrook, Patrick Beverley, Kendrick Nunn and Austin Reaves.

However, Beverley and Nunn have been disappointing offensively. The latter hasn't significantly made a difference on the defensive end, either. The Lakers could have used Schroder in those situations. The German point guard is a solid two-way player and one of the few guards who can play off the ball and run the point efficiently.

He is also a reliable 10-point-per-game scorer. The Lakers need production out of their role players, which could provide better support for LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook.

Dennis Schroder made his season debut during the Lakers' 128-121 home win over the Detroit Pistons on Friday. He scored two points and dished two assists in 16 minutes. He played only one game during the preseason, so the German may take time to rediscover his rhythm.
