Kenneth Lofton Jr. is an NBA rookie playing for the Memphis Grizzlies. Lofton Jr. entered the 2022 NBA Draft but went into the league undrafted.

The Grizzlies decided to sign him to a two-way one-year contract worth $508,891 for the 2022-23 season. For most of his NBA career, Lofton has played in the G League for the Memphis Hustle. The rookie has only played 16 games with the Grizzlies.

Come 2023, Kenneth Lofton will likely become a restricted free agent. Depending on whether or not Lofton and Memphis agree a contract extension, the rookie does have a qualifying offer for next season worth $1.76 million. However, there's a possibility that he could be offered an extension based on his G League performances.

Kenneth Lofton Jr. is a promising talent in the NBA. He's playing in his rookie season for both the Memphis Grizzlies and Memphis Hustle.

Lofton Jr. may have gone undrafted, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have anything to bring to the table. The rookie is a 6 '8" forward who can handle himself fairly well inside the paint.

Looking at Kenneth Lofton's stats with the Grizzlies, they aren't anything special considering if barely gets to play for the squad. In the 16 games he has played, Lofton is only playing 3.3 minutes per game, scoring an average of 1.8 points. On paper, that isn't exactly eye candy. However, his real game shines when playing for the Hustle in the G League.

Throughout the G League season, Lofton Jr. proved that he can be a swift and shifty player despite his heavy weight. He's averaging a double-double with 22.4 points, 10.0 rebounds and 3.6 assists. The rookie is capable of being a dominant big, as he can posterize opponents and bump bodies with bigger defenders. He has a mid-range game in his arsenal too.

If the Grizzlies can somehow bring out Lofton's full potential over the summer, the organization might hit the jackpot. That's only if the Grizzlies extend his contract for the 2023-24 season, though.
