1. Chris Gayle (30 balls)

The Gayle storm had well and truly arrived that night against the Pune Warriors as he smashed a 30 ball ton. Nobody in any form of cricket has scored a ton faster than that. And he didn’t stop there as he went on to make 175 off 66 deliveries.

2. Andrew Symonds (34 balls)

Symonds made a 34 ball hundred way back in 2004, that’s a remarkable achievement considering the format was it’s early stages. He opened the innings and made 112 off the required 156 runs.

3. LP Van der Westhuizen (35 balls)

This would have been the fastest ever international ton had the particular game been declared an official one. But unfortunately for Westhuizen, it wasn’t the case. The Namibian opener made 145 runs off just 50 balls and that included 12 sixes.

4. Yusuf Pathan (37 balls)

Mumbai Indians were winning it comfortably at the end of the 10 over mark as the Royals were reeling at 69 for 4 chasing 213. But then Yusuf Pathan took charge and smashed 8 sixes and 9 fours helping himself to a 37 ball century. But Mumbai held their nerve in the end to win by 4 runs.

5. Scott Styris (37 balls)

He was 37 years old when he scored that 37 ball ton. It was totally an unexpected knock from the kiwi veteran and that hundred took Sussex in to the semifinals of the Friends life t20. Coming in at number 5, he smashed 9 sixes en route to that ton.
