IPL 2017, KKR vs MI: Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) probable playing 11 against Mumbai Indians(MI), Match 54

Will Narine fire with the bat again?

Chris Lynn: The destructive hitting of Chris Lynn at the top of the order is something that the Knight Riders will be banking on coming good once again. The Australian, who missed a few games in between due to a shoulder injury, will look to play the way he did against the RCB and provide his side with the early momentum.

Sunil Narine: In all these years of the IPL, the opposition have feared Sunil Narine the bowler. This year, however, it is the batting exploits of the West Indian that has caused everyone to stand up and note. Clean hitting at the top has meant that the Knight Riders have got the early momentum often and he will look to do more of the same on Saturday.

Gautam Gambhir(C): The Knight Riders captain has had a good season with the bat, having amassed 433 runs in 13 matches so far. His performances in the League even made a few die-hard fans ask for his recall to the Indian team for the Champions Trophy. But even as that recall didn't come, the 35-year-old will look to get his team through to the Playoffs and hopefully to a third IPL title.

Robin Uthappa(WK): Uthappa may not be batting in the position that he favour, but he will hope to get some runs under his belt ahead of the Playoffs next week.

Manish Pandey: One of the best performers in the middle-order for the Knight Riders, Pandey will look to get a big sdcore under his belt at home before proceeding to the business end of the competition.

Colin de Grandhomme: The New Zealander has been more effective with the ball as compared to the bat for the side. He was promoted up the order in the game against the Royal Challengers Bangalore but could not get going. If given another chance on Saturday, he would look to make the most of the opportunity.

Yusuf Pathan: The all-rounder has made little contribution of note with his bat in the competition so far but if you cast your mind back to the 2014 season, then the batsman in Yusuf was unleashed in the final group game against the Sunrisers and he will hope to do something on those line on Saturday.

Chris Woakes: The English all-rounder has been more effective with the ball than with the bat and Gambhir will need him to deliver yet another miserly performance on Saturday against a strong Mumbai Indians unit.

Piyush Chawla: The trick to removing Rohit early at a ground he loves playing. The Mumbai Indians captain has struggled against leg-spin this season and bringing Chawla on to get him early would be a good option.

Umesh Yadav: The Indian quick has looked in a good rhythm at the start of his spell in most games and will have the responsibility on his shoulders to nab a few early wickets on Saturday night.

Ankit Rajpoot: The youngster has been used in the middle portions of the innings and he will look to provide the control that Gambhir hopes from him during the innings.
