It is always a great sight for fans to watch their favorite batsmen roll their arm over. In fact, there have been occasions when these crowd-favorite batsmen are cheered more for their bowling than batting.

Virat Kohli is one of them. His dibbly-dobbly medium pace has proved handy on occasions when a regular bowler has had an off-day. Throughout his IPL career, Virat Kohli has picked up just 4 wickets with the best bowling figures of 2/25.

The few batsmen he has dismissed have been big wickets, coming at a crucial juncture of the game. Let us take a look at the list of batsmen that Virat has dismissed in the IPL.

#1 Chamara Silva

Chamara Silva was Virat Kohli's first victim in the IPL.

Sri Lankan batsman Chamara Silva was Virat Kohli's first IPL victim. Kohli dismissed the Deccan Chargers batsman in 51st match of the inaugural edition of the IPL for a duck to bag his first IPL wicket.

It happened at the Rajiv Gandhi National Stadium, Hyderabad on May 25, 2008. Silva was stumped by Sreevats Goswami. Because of Kohli's lack of pace, the wicket-keeper was standing up to the stumps.

There was more to come for Virat with the ball in the same match which we will see in the next slide.

#2 Dwaraka Ravi Teja

Dwarka Ravi Teja, the Deccan Chargers all-rounder was Virat Kohli's second IPL victim. Virat knocked over Dwarka Ravi Teja in the same match against Deccan Chargers for 7 to record his best bowling figures in the IPL.

Virat finished with the figures of 2/25 from 3.4 overs which still remains his greatest day in the IPL with the ball in hand.

After this dismissal, Virat had to wait for almost 3 more years to get his next IPL wicket, which eventually came in the 2011 edition of the IPL for the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

#3 Brendon McCullum

Now this i
Virat Kohli can be proud of getting the wicket of a legend like Baz

McCullum was caught by Dirk Nannes off Kohli's bowling when he was batting on 45 off 32 balls. Kohli once again proved he has an uncanny knack of dismissing a dangerous batsman from the opposition's batting line-up. Virat's wicket-taking drought finally came to an end in the first match of IPL 2011. His third IPL dismissal was of New Zealand batsman Brendon McCullum who was playing for the Kochi Tuskers Kerala in their inaugural match in 2011.

He did not have to wait a long for his next IPL wicket as it came later in the same edition of the IPL.

#4 Wriddhiman Saha

Saha is Kohli's last IPL victim to date.

Indian wicket-keeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha is the last IPL victim of Virat Kohli till date. Virat dismissed Saha on 22 in the Royal Challangers Bangalore vs Chennai Super Kings game in the only over he bowled in that match. Saha was caught by Luke Pomersbach.

It happened in May 2011 and since then Virat Kohli is yet to add to his tally of 4 IPL wickets. Over the years, Kohli's bowling has dried up and in contemporary times he bowls once in a blue moon.

As the pitches started getting flatter, boundaries became smaller and run-scoring increased like anything, Virat Kohli sees it a big risk these days to roll his arm over in the IPL since the last thing he wants is to get hit for 20 runs in an over and see his side lose the game.
