Team India bowling spearhead Jasprit Bumrah pulled off Shoaib Akhtar's famous flight celebration after dismissing Mohammad Rizwan during the match against Pakistan on Saturday (October 14) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Pakistan batted first in the contest after losing the toss. They reached 155/2 in 29.3 overs and looked in a decent position. Mohammed Siraj castled out Babar Azam at this juncture to give India a crucial breakthrough. Rohit then brought on Jasprit Bumrah after a couple of overs, replacing Siraj.

The move paid dividends as Jasprit Bumrah cleaned up Mohammed Rizwan when he was batting on 49. Bumrah celebrated his first wicket of the match in style, extending his arms sideways. It resembled Shoaib Akhtar's famous flight celebration.

Pakistan lost the plot from there and were bundled out cheaply for 191 in 42.5 overs. They could only add 36 runs for the last eight wickets. Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, and Hardik Pandya took two wickets apiece for India in the bowling department.

Reflecting on the first innings action during the innings break, Kuldeep Yadav said:

"I knew where to bowl and it was a difficult wicket to bowl on. It was on the slower side. I was just focussing on the length and trying to keep it wicket-to-wicket, varying my pace and bowling my variations.
"I was bowling really well, not giving them too much width. Rizwan did not sweep me at all, so I tried to keep it wicket-to-wicket and wanted him to play a bad shot."

Kuldeep added:

"(On the ball that got Shakeel out) I have been watching him, he has tried to sweep and paddle. I tried to keep it straight, with wrong'uns and flippers. That was a good ball. I thought he did not read it. He probably thought it would come slow but it skidded through. (On the crowd) The atmosphere was crazy. It was unbelievable."
