And Rafael Nadal would surely attest to that. When he was in the country for the Chennai Open in 2007, Nadal picked up a cricket bat and started hitting some forehand topspins shots with it!
Helping him learn the basics of batting was India’s very own Kris Srikkanth. ‘Chika’ tried teaching Rafa his favourite shot from his playing days – the square cut – and the Spaniard tried hitting that with his characteristically extreme Western grip, with predictably bizarre results!
