Avon Cycles India Cyclothon- Kolkata 2012. Last day to register!

After rocking Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Bengaluru, and Chennai its Kolkata’s turn to be rocked. The Avon Cycles India Cyclothon- Kolkata 2012 will take place tomorrow, on 18 March. Today is the last date for registration. You can register yourself by heading to the Khudiram Bose Anushilan Kendra, near Netaji Indoor Stadium in Kolkata, between 10 AM to 7 PM.

There are four ride categories for the public (to participate in the elite ride, you need a CFI license):

There will be one loop of the above circuit for the Parle-G junior ride, NVD Solar Green Ride is 2 loops and the Corporate and Amateur Rides are 4 loops.

Registering for any of these categories will fetch you a goodie bag, a helmet and a T-Shirt. A limited number of cycles are available to rent for Rs 350, on a first come-first serve basis.

This is the first time an event like this has come to Kolkata. It’s a golden opportunity for cyclists in the city to come and participate in a celebration of cycling. The benefits of cycling are innumerable to begin with. For those living in metro cities, there is an even greater need to pursue cycling.
