Max Verstappen is arguably one of the best drivers on the grid. Of course, Red Bull is creating some of the best cars that allow its drivers to outshine anyone on the grid, but Verstappen's own raw talent adds even more to his overall performance.

Each F1 driver has their own way to prepare for a race weekend and each session. Some of them spend more time focusing on their mental stability by cutting off from the world, while others do loads of physical and reflex exercises right before a session.

In the latest video posted on the Dutchman's official YouTube channel, we see how the reigning world champion prepares for a session in the 2023 F1 Azerbaijan GP.

The video starts off with Max Verstappen sitting in his room in the paddock with his trainer and performing some reflex practices. He starts off by hitting the lights whenever they turn on. This is a great reflex exercise that almost all F1 drivers perform throughout the season.

The Red Bull driver also did some hand and neck stretches using various rubber resistance bands. He even practices ball juggling and constantly changes the use of his hands while doing so.

It is worth noting that in between doing all these exercises, Max Verstappen was also watching the WEC (World Endurance Championship) 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. He even stopped juggling and reacted to a fatal crash that happened during the race.

After doing all his exercises and preparation, he went out of his room and into the garage, where he prepared to get into the car for a session in the Azerbaijan GP.

Nyck de Vries on how genuine Max Verstappen is

It is safe to say that Max Verstappen is not liked by many F1 fans, especially after the controversial 2021 F1 season where he won his first world championship.

However, his childhood friend and fellow F1 driver, Nyck de Vries, spoke highly of the reigning world champion and how genuinely good a human being he is.

Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the AlphaTauri driver said:

"We chat regularly. We've known each other since we were kids and I respect him a lot and admire all those achievements and accomplishments. He is a really good human being. He is very genuine, always. I would say he has never changed since I've known him, like never."

Of course, Nyck de Vries has constantly kept contact with Max Verstappen as both are from the same country and have competed against each other in several racing series when they were kids.

While Verstappen quickly got into F1, de Vries had to take the longer route as he raced in several other racing competitions before landing a seat in the single-seater championship.
