Arsenal & Liverpool on alert as £30m rated striker who tormented EPL hints at move

Swansea City v Hull City - Barclays Premier League

Swansea City’s Spanish striker Michu has alerted potential suitors by admitting to Spanish newspaper Marca that he still harbours ambitions to play in the Champions League. Whilst he says that he is happy in South Wales, Michu did concede that a move to a top side would help him to “grow up” as a player. The Express report that both Arsenal and Liverpool are interested in the striker and claim that Swansea value him at £30 million.

“Every player dreams about playing in big teams; clubs that play in the Champions League and fight for titles and I am no different,” said Michu.

However the Spaniard, who made his first appearance for his country earlier in the season, continued by talking of his happiness at Swansea.

“But it is true that I feel very good here”, he continued. “The boss gives me a lot of confidence and I’m surrounded by Spaniards. I am very pleased and very happy at Swansea but it is obvious that every player wants to grow up and see how far you can go.”

If he were to leave, then a move to another Premier League club would look likely. The striker concluded his interview by saying that he has no burning ambition to return to his homeland, and is happy playing in the Premier League:

“Right now I’m happy abroad”, he said. “I really like the Premier League, I’m happy here.”
