Arsenal started the week off at the top of the Barclays premier league table after their 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion before most of the first team were off on International duty.

Then it was Norwich City at the Emirates and the Gunners scored 3 great team goals to secure a 4-1 home win for Arsenal. Mesut Özil scored twice along with Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere who kept the Gunners at the top of the Premier League table.

Transfer Rumours

Arsenal will be offered Real Madrid’s French striker Karim Benzema, 25, at a bargain £20m in January as the Spanish club step up their bid to sign Luis Suarez, 26, from Liverpool. (Metro)

Italian side Lazio are ready to compete with Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United for Aston Villa’s Belgian striker Christian Benteke, 22. (Daily Star)

Thomas Vermaelen, 27, says he would consider leaving Arsenal in January to improve his chances of playing in the 2014 World Cup finals. (The Times)

Arsenal’s ladies started the week off with a 0-0 draw at Home to London Bees but the week got better for the Gunners when they faced WFC SSHVSM Kairat winning 11-1 and 18-2 on aggregate in their Women’s Champions League game.
